We are Team Survivor San Diego Sea Dragons! We are a group of dedicated women of various ages, backgrounds, and athletic abilities who are enthusiastically participating and paddling in the sport of Dragon Boat Racing. We are cancer survivors who share the same goals: to enhance our own physical fitness and to share the joys and benefits of dragon boating with all who are interested. We participated in our first international competition, the 2013 Rio Tinto in Vancouver, Canada and came home with a SILVER medal! Our dragon boat program began in 2008 and we have benefited greatly from being one of several programs offered by Team Survivor San Diego. Email us at www.teamsurvivorseadragons.net or find us on Facebook: Team Survivor Sea Dragons Dragon Boat Team.

Raytheon Paddle Pirates

The Raytheon Paddle Pirates are a diverse crew of soulfully industrious cube dwellers, released from our carpeted habitats and flat panel monitors, banded together to form one the most feared splash makers on calm seas.  With our competitive spirit, unbridled enthusiasm, and unorthodox paddling prowess, we are definitely a team to be reckoned with, or at least make some room for.  Our vigorous training consists of keyboard pounding, mouse pushing, speed texting, hallway sprints, and mass consumption of HotCheetos and Rockstar.   Grunion fear us and jellyfish quiver at the mere mention of our name.   Who are we – we’re R.P.P.!   Arrrr!

Solar Dragon Boat Club

Team members from Solar Dragon Boat Club are from Solar Turbines Incorporated, a division of Caterpillar. The enthusiastic group of paddlers in this year's dragon boat event consists of Solar Employee Recreation Association (SERA) and Caterpillar Chinese Resource Group (CCRG). The participants are those that want to acquire new skills on paddling a dragon boat and promoting a competitive camaraderie. Dragon boating gives us the opportunity for team-building and representing the power of working together.

Splashing Flyers

Splashing Flyers Dragon Boat Racing started its journey with a splash during the 2005 season. Racing from just one race per year to at least seven races per year, our enthusiasm and commitmentfor dragon boat has changed dramatically over the years. Thanks to our proud sponsor Northrop Grumman Recreational Center (NGRC), they have given us the support to race in more races (mostly Corporate) and provide us with a steady stream of new talent that soon erge into core paddlers.     In keeping with the spirit of dragon boating, our membership is always open to all, training togetherwith our core group of men and women from varying professions across Southern California. For the 3rdyear in row, our team has had a Splashing Flyers member on the USA National Dragon Boat team, which proves to show that anything is possible on our boat.  www.splashingflyers.com

lard

The Los Angeles Racing Dragons were founded by family & friends after participating in the inaugural Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in 1996, and enjoyed the camaraderie, health benefits & competitiveness of this sport so much that we formed Long Beach’s first year-round team in 1998.  Today, LARD is a non-profit organization still run entirely by volunteers & competes internationally.  We represented the US at the World Club Crew Championships in Hong Kong last July (2012). We welcome new paddlers & proudly support both the LA Pink Dragons, California’s first BCS team, and California United (CAU), a development program for collegiate paddlers.  Find us at laracingdragons.org, or better yet, join us on the water!
