AeroDragons is a club devoted to the sport of dragon boat racing. We are a competitive recreational team
and we are a member team of the Southern California Dragon Boat Club (SCDBC). Our members are a
diverse mix of The Aerospace Corporation and Los Angeles Air Force Base/Space and Missile Systems
Center employees, military personnel, families and friends. We are sponsored by the AEA (Aerospace
AeroDragons' purpose is to cultivate a deeper appreciation for Asian/Pacific and other cultural heritages
through team building, recreation, friendship and fun.
The Amazon Dragons Paddling Club was founded in 1992 by the Lesbian Community Project. The Amazons are an organization which provides lesbians with camaraderie, fitness, and physical strength through competitive dragon boat racing. We convey positive lesbian visibility through competition, personal integrity, community service and good sportsmanship.
Arizona Dragon Riders
One of the most Competitive, enthusiastic and diversified Dragon Boat paddling teams in Arizona is the ARIZONA DRAGON RIDERS team. Starting in 2008, we have gone from a few interested paddlers to the largest dragon boat team in Arizona. We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of many people connected with the club has ledto race success.
Arms of Fury
Arms of Fury is one of three boats here from KBS in Newport Beach, CA. We are an energetic group of coworkers and friends who look forward to competing against the other teams and enjoying the outdoors. With both new and experienced paddlers on board, we are excited to see just how fast we can push our arms as we battle across the water. Our motto is “Work hard, Play hard, Paddle hard.”

We are a group of lively and competitive individuals representing Art of 8 Training and Fitness Center. We are outgoing, full of energy and a fun group to be around. Looking forward to the races!
Hello we are Desert Dragons from Las Vegas...we come from all different back grounds, have different personal battles we are fighting.. but on the boat we are a TEAM who loves to paddle and leave it all on the water. We are like ducks: clam on top of the water but paddle like hell in the water!!
Diva Dragon Riders
Established in 2007 as the original dragon boat women team in Arizona. The Diva Dragon Riders are a group of women committed to paddling together with a common goal - Performing our best individually and collectively.
We can't wait to come back to San Diego for a fun race as we did a few years ago and brought home Silver medal status.
Dragon BAH Z
Dragon BAH Z is thrilled to be participating in this year’s race. As a third year team, these dragon boaters are as tough in spirit and determination as its anime namesake. Sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Forum at Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), the group is comprised of very enthused and spirited employees. Dragon BAH Z is excited to celebrate the camaraderie of competition and cultural community through our participation. Booz Allen Hamilton is a provider of management and technology consulting services in several industries including Government defense, intelligence, and civil markets.
Dragon You To Court
"Dragon You to Court" is the unofficial, non-corporate-sponsored team of the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc. Our members include staff, family and friends who together have developed a scientific, patented technique of "random paddling," which consists of furious strokes to the theme of "Mission Impossible." Be forewarned: we expect to win!
Not just anyone can be a Golden Dragon. Fifty and older is a requirement along with an affinity for exercise, good health and fun! We have been a paddling club (now totaling 190 members) since 1996. Our average age for this team is 65. We live by our motto: Old age and treachery will overcome youth and ambition!

Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club
Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club is an Amateur, non-profit athletic club based in San Diego, California. We have been in San Diego, on Mission Bay, since 1978. Our club members are athletes who commit their time to be proficient paddlers; and to be competitive with other clubs in California and throughout the Pacific Rim. The club members compete in the Outrigger World Championship in Hawaii as well as in various other international-level events.
Kelowna Dragon Boat Spirit Team
The Kelowna Dragon Boat Spirit Team was developed In 2009
It was the vision and hard work of Ivan Carothers and Connie Mellart . It is a competitive team comprised of paddlers representing our clubs teams. We competed in the international San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival in Sep 2009 The team placed seventh in their division an outstanding performance given the caliber of competition in the 140 teams that attended.
In 2010 the KDBC Spirit Team won Gold in the Seattle international Festival
In 2012 KDBC Spirit Team won bronze in the Deep Cove Festival
Last year we were invited to race in the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival we had three great days of racing and in the end the mixed team was eliminated in the quarter finals and the women's in the semi finals
Our next festivals will take us to San Diego in 2015 and Dublin Ireland in 2016
L.A. Thunder dRAGONS
The year 2015 marks the 14th season for the LA Thunder Dragons. Our team has roots to 2001, when a novice church team, from Pomona, participated in the 5th annual Long Beach tournament. Founding members, Cheng & Carl Hung, began a recruiting mission to form their own team for 2002, and the Thunder Dragons were born. We look forward to participating in this year's big race in San Diego, renewing rivalries on the water, and meeting new teams.

"Los Angeles Racing Dragons were founded by family & friends after participating in the inaugural Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in 1996, and enjoyed the camaraderie, health benefits & competitiveness of this sport so much that we formed Long Beach’s first year-round team in 1998. Today, LARD is a non-profit organization still run entirely by volunteers & competes internationally. We represented the US at the World Club Crew Championships in Hong Kong July 2012. Living Root Dragon Boat- Boston
Founded in 2005 by a pod of dolphins, Living Root is a Boston team that poses a serious threat to gold medals everywhere. Our silver stripes pay tribute to our ancestors' sleek silver bodies, as does our love for uncooked herring and mackerel. Paddle for the Pod! We have screamed that battle cry over many waters, and we plunge our heads beneath the waves to eek it in dolphin-speak to those that swim. Spinners, White-Beaked, or Bottlenose--all are welcome. To those who race us, you'll see nothing but blow-holes. For those who join us, you shall paddle with a porpoise!
We are the Newport Aquatic Center (NAC) Dragon Boat Team from Newport Beach, CA A dedicated strong group of ageless paddlers with various abilities and fitness levels, we strive to excel and work hard while having a good time on the water. We love our sport, its competition spirit, and the camaraderie it provides us all. NAC welcomes all local paddler newbies to join us on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout the year. This is our 12th year together, remain committed to improving performance and enhancing our lives. As we have paddled in various venues around the world. NAC considers San Diego and their leadership one of our favorite race destinations.

All our team members are from Peking University San Diego Alumni Association. Peking University is the most prestigious university in China. We are in the race to compete, but also to make friends, to have fun and to show our sportsmanship and good team spirit.
The QDragons are a group of like-minded, fun-seeking, and somewhat competitive folks who like to get together early Saturday mornings and get yelled at to Power Up and Let It Ride. We also participate in local dragon boat competitions. If you are up to the challenge and looking for an excellent core/shoulder/back workout, please check us out!
Raytheon Paddle Pirates
The Raytheon Paddle Pirates are a diverse crew of soulfully industrious cube dwellers, released from our carpeted habitats and flat panel monitors, banded together to form one the most feared splash makers on calm seas. With our competitive spirit, unbridled enthusiasm, and unorthodox paddling prowess, we are definitely a team to be reckoned with, or at least make some room for. Our vigorous training consists of keyboard pounding, mouse pushing, speed texting, hallway sprints, and mass consumption of HotCheetos and Rockstar. Grunion fear us and jellyfish quiver at the mere mention of our name. Who are we – we’re R.P.P.! Arrrr!
San Diego Canoe and Kayak Team
The San Diego Canoe and Kayak Team is a non-profit organization focused on developing young athletes in Olympic style sprint Kayak & Canoeing, Ocean Surfski racing, and the new exciting sport of Stand Up Paddle Board racing. Founded by USA Canoe Kayak Olympian, Chris Barlow, the team includes paddlers of all skill levels and ages and offers unique opportunities to travel to both regional and international competitions. http://www.sdckt.net
Solar Dragon Boat Club
Team members from Solar Dragon Boat Club are from Solar Turbines Incorporated, a division of Caterpillar. The enthusiastic group of paddlers in this year's dragon boat event consists of Solar Employee Recreation Association (SERA) and Caterpillar Chinese Resource Group (CCRG). The participants are those that want to acquire new skills on paddling a dragon boat and promoting a competitive camaraderie. Dragon boating gives us the opportunity for team-building and representing the power of working together.
Sync or Swim
Sync or Swim one of the three teams sponsored by KBS is an active dedicated team of paddlers located in Newport Beach, CA. We are a motley crew that strives to perfect a unified stroke. Dare to paddle BLIND! Out of the dark and into the light, BLINDSTART is in sight to bring Awareness and Education throughout the dragon boat community. Celebrating the 24th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Team BLINDSTART continues to make history as the first BLIND and BLINDFOLDED Dragon Boat Race Team competing in its first year at the 2014 San Diego Dragon Boat Race. Team Survivor Sea Dragons
The TEAM Survivor Sea Dragons are a group of thriving cancer survivors who love paddling together. We want to inspire women to see that having cancer can be an opportunity to change one’s thinking and look at life with new possibilities! We can each try something completely new and go farther with it than could be imagined. With this in mind, we are working hard training and raising funds to bring our team to world class competition in Auckland, New Zealand for the World Masters Games in 2017.
UC San Diego Dragon Boat
UC San Diego Dragon Boat is a sports club founded by a group of ambitious students in 2003 trying to bring their passion for the sport to their college. Since, the sports club has held a tradition of building teamwork and promoting lifelong camaraderie between crew members while maintaining the ability to race at a competitive level.
USC Dragon Boat Team
USC Dragon Boat was founded in 2005. Though our team is young, we have improved dramatically every single year to become one of the top teams in California. During our practices we focus on teamwork, timing, technique, endurance and power. After practice, we like to eat a ton and then take a much-needed nap. Wasabi Tide Runners
We are the newest addition to Wasabi Paddling Club based in Portland, OR. We paddle on the beautiful Nehalem Bay located on the North Oregon Coast. We are fortunate to paddle in the company of bald eagles, seals, heron and the occasional whale! We truly do run with the tide! As Tide Runners, we are didicated to promoting competitive minds and winning spirits. We are a crew of competitive women of all ages who have a passion for paddling together. X-Generals is a recreational/competative dragon boat racing team based in Long Beach, California. Formed in October 2003 as a continuation of the former General Bank Corporate Dragon Boat Team (thus the name "X-Generals"), our team is a diverse crew made up of people from all walks of life, who are looking to stay active, push their limits, and be a part of an incredible community. Since our inception, X-Generals has always been about challenging ourselves to be better, being competitive without losing sight of how to have fun, as well as introducing others to the sport of Dragon Boating.
