Parking Information
Welcome to Race Day!
Are you worried about getting a parking spot on race day? San Diego is here to help make it easy for you and your dragon boat team members. First, if you are staying overnight at the Hilton Resort & Spa, then leave your car right at the hotel, you just can't get any closer than that! If you are driving in to San Diego, and to Mission Bay, then arriving early would be a good idea for a front row spot along the grass park race area, officially called "Tecolote Shores North at Mission Bay Park." (click for website information). There are 4 large, public, free, parking lots to choose from. Plus, many parking spaces all along E. Mission Bay Drive, adjacent to where you'll want to set up your Team Tent. If, later in the day, all the nearby spots are full, then we have reserved the dirt lot next to Fiesta Island for additional free parking. Just a short 1/4 mile walk away. Don't worry, you can easily drop your stuff off first.
